Build Your Apartment Block Limit and Bigger Builds

Stay under 7,500 parts — or double the cap with a clear plan.

Block Limit

Free-to-place does not mean infinite. Max Block Increase, a pass listed on the Build Your Apartment store, says it doubles the maximum from 7,500 to 15,000 blocks. That sentence is the most important number in the game after your save slot. This guide shows how to design inside the free cap, when the pass is worth Robux, and how the cap interacts with memory.

What counts

Treat every placed part as a block: walls you add, furniture, gadgets, and tiny decor. Hidden pieces inside floors still count. If the catalog lets you stamp a model made of many parts, assume it is hungrier than a single sofa. The UI should show a counter; if a Beta server hides it, you will feel the cap when placement simply refuses.

A refused place is not always a permission issue. Check invite friends if you are a guest, then check this cap if you are the host.

Budget a 7,500 apartment

A workable split for a first penthouse:

  • 2,000 — walls, floors, and extra rooms you actually walk through.
  • 2,500 — large furniture (sofas, beds, tables, kitchen runs).
  • 1,500 — lighting and outdoor or pool edges.
  • 1,000 — plants and art.
  • 500 — wiring gadgets and experiments.

That split is a planning tool, not a law. The layout planner lets you jot the same numbers before you join. If plants eat 3,000 parts, your living room will look empty and you will still be capped.

Modern styles spend less. Tropical and pixel-art walls spend more. The build ideas page prefers large shapes for this reason.

When 15,000 is worth buying

Max Block Increase has sat in the 129–169 Robux range. Buy it when you already delete good details to fit new ones, not on your first evening. A doubled cap will not help a messy catalog habit. It will help a planned second floor, a long pool, or a detailed kitchen.

Do not buy it to fix a save you never named. Clean the slot first using save and load. Memory is a separate ceiling: Unlimited Save Slots still lists 3.6 MB per user. A 15,000-part monster can be heavy even when the part counter has room.

Rank this pass against Fly Mode and paint on the gamepass tier list. Height access and color freedom do not add parts. The cap pass does.

How to reclaim parts

  • Delete duplicate plants. One good palm beats eight.
  • Replace a wall of tiny cubes with one large panel, then paint it.
  • Remove furniture inside walls from old experiments.
  • Ask friends to stop “detailing” the elevator. Co-op clutter is real.
  • After a big delete, save and rejoin so the counter refreshes.

Paint and pixels can fake detail with color instead of extra geometry. That is the cheapest way to look finished near the cap.

Wiring and the cap

Every button and door is a part. A clever circuit that uses twenty hidden repeaters — if the catalog even has them — is a luxury. The wiring guide tells you to start with one pair. That advice is also a budget.

Codes will not raise the cap

No verified code currently grants extra blocks. Ignore lists from other apartment games. If a future gift adds a pack of parts, it still counts toward 7,500 unless Bambu Farm says otherwise. Follow how to redeem only after you have room to receive the items.

The cap is a design constraint, not a punishment. The best penthouses in this Beta are the ones that stop in time. When you truly need more, buy the pass with a plan, not with panic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the penthouse sandbox.

What is the default block limit?

The Max Block Increase pass text sets the free maximum at 7,500 parts.

What does Max Block Increase do?

It doubles the cap to 15,000 parts so you can run larger or more detailed apartments.

Does the save memory limit still apply?

Yes. Extra parts can approach the 3.6 MB ceiling described on Unlimited Save Slots even after you raise the cap.

Why can I not place anything?

You may be at the cap, out of permission, or on a stale server. Delete, check rights, then rejoin.
