Build Your Apartment Build With Friends

Online co-op in the penthouse without losing your save.

Invite Friends

Bambu Farm’s store text says you can allow friends to build your apartment with you. That is the social hook of Build Your Apartment: a shared glass box in the sky, not a single-player dollhouse. This guide covers how to invite people, how to grant build rights, and how to keep one person from loading a joke save over a week of work.

Join the same penthouse

Friends must be in the same Roblox server. Use a Roblox invite, a private server if you own one, or a follow into your instance. The place lists a maximum of ten players. If the lobby is full, hop together rather than splitting across two towers.

Confirm everyone launched this experience. Lookalike apartment games will not share your furniture. The official links page is the safest launch point.

Walking versus building

A guest can usually walk, sit, and take screenshots. Building is a permission, not an automatic perk of friendship. If a friend can move but cannot place, they are not broken — they are not on the build list. Open the social or apartment settings and add them. The exact button label can shift in Beta; look for allow build, edit, or collaborate.

Revoke that right when the session ends if you do not want overnight edits. Online co-op is convenient. It is also how a well-meaning guest “fixes” your sofa.

Host rules that prevent rage quits

  • The host is the only person who presses Load unless you agree otherwise. Read save and load together before you start.
  • One person owns wiring. Two people connecting the same door will desync. See wiring.
  • Paint is expensive in pixels. Ask before recoloring a wall. Paint and pixels explains the cost.
  • Leave the elevator and a main walkway clear. A blocked exit is not a joke when ten people are in the instance.

What to build together

Shared sessions work best on a single style. Pick modern, pool, or tropical from build ideas and assign rooms. One person does kitchen, one does lounge, one does balcony. That split keeps the block limit honest because nobody spam-places pillows in every corner.

If you want a live picture of a social penthouse, the video in the middle of this page is a real Build Your Apartment session. Watch how the room is treated as a hangout, then copy the hosting pace rather than every prop.

Premium visuals and guest expectations

Premium Pass adds a golden player-list outline, a golden like button, a golden elevator, extra pixel bonuses, and exclusive blocks. Guests can see those cosmetics. They cannot spend your Robux. Do not promise exclusive blocks to a friend who does not own the pass. Rank that pass on the gamepass tier list if you are buying it only to look fancy in the elevator.

Fly Mode helps when two people dress a ceiling at once. It is still optional. Ground-level furniture is enough for a first party.

After the friends leave

Save immediately. Walk the apartment alone and delete anything that breaks circulation. If a guest dropped hidden parts, your block count may be higher than it looks. The layout planner is useful the next day when you want to reclaim budget.

There is no verified official Discord for matchmaking. Use Roblox friends and the Bambu Farm group. Community claims on random servers are collected on the community links page with a clear “unverified” label.

Codes are not a party favor today. If a gift string appears later, the host should redeem on their own account using how to redeem, then share the items in-world if the gift allows it.

A good co-op night ends with a saved penthouse and a guest list you still trust. That is the whole feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the penthouse sandbox.

Can friends build in my apartment?

Yes. The official description allows friends to build with you after you grant permission in the apartment or social settings.

Why can my friend only walk around?

They need build permission. Friendship alone does not always unlock the catalog.

Is this local split-screen?

No. Co-op is online in a shared Roblox server with a maximum of ten players.

Who should press Save?

The host. Agree on that before anyone opens the load menu.
