Build Your Apartment Save and Load Apartments

Bambu Farm markets save and load as the way you collect apartments. That feature is also the easiest way to lose a night of work if you overwrite the wrong slot. This guide covers how to think about saves in Build Your Apartment: default slots, the Unlimited Save Slots pass, and the 3.6 MB memory ceiling printed on that pass.

Why you should save early

The penthouse is a Beta sandbox. New catalog items can land without warning. A friend with build permission can move your sofa. A server hop can drop you into a fresh instance. None of those events are rare. The getting started checklist tells you to save after the first three anchors. Do that even if the room looks unfinished.

Name slots by style, not by mood. “Modern A” is easier to reload than “final final 2.” If the UI only offers numbered slots, keep a note on your phone that maps number to theme.

Default slots versus Unlimited Save Slots

Without the pass, you buy or unlock extra slots one at a time. The store does not publish the exact free count in the public description, so check the save panel in-game and treat that number as the live truth. The Unlimited Save Slots pass, listed around 199 Robux, claims an unlimited number of spaces with an important asterisk: there is a memory limit of 3600 KB / 3.6 MB per user. The pass text says that ceiling would probably appear after 200 or more builds.

That means “unlimited” is unlimited slot rows, not unlimited complexity. A single dense penthouse can weigh more than a simple studio. If you chase pixel-art walls and tiny clutter, you will hit memory sooner. The block limit and the save planner help you estimate whether a new theme needs a new slot or a cleanup.

Load without destroying the live room

Loading replaces what you see. Confirm the slot name twice. If you are in a friend’s apartment, loading your own save may not be what they want — ask first, or go back to your unit. Online co-op is covered on invite friends.

After a load, walk the elevator and the glass edge. Beta saves can drop a piece through a floor after a patch. Fix that before you paint. Paint costs pixels; replacing a missing chair is free.

A healthy slot library

Keep at least one clean shell: walls, floors, and lights only. Keep one daily driver you are happy to show. Keep experiments in a third slot if you have it. When you run out of slots, archive by screenshot and delete the weakest experiment, not the shell.

Memory hygiene

• Prefer one large sofa over twelve tiny cushions when you are near the cap.
• Delete hidden parts inside walls. They still count.
• Do not duplicate a whole apartment “just in case” if you are already near 3.6 MB.
• After a big delete, save, rejoin, and confirm the file size feeling — the UI may not show kilobytes, but load time is a hint.

After an update
